24 Days
by Kreme on Sep.22, 2008, under Computer
Palin’s name was announced 24 days ago, and still not a single Press Conference. The Republicans are whining now about having a short debate with the veeps so taht, I guess, Ms. Palin will not be exposed too mucha s the ignorant, uneducated, fundie-christer fool she really is.
Really, any women out there who are not equally as fundie christer as she is would be utter fools (and sexists) to vote for McCain simply because Palin is female. Ask yourself one question, do you think a 13yo girl who is repeatedly raped by her uncle should have to carry the baby? if you don’t, remember Sarah Palin does.
Heart out of McCain?

Ann and Nancy have something to say, with profanity. Quite a lot of it.

With all the political news and finacial disaster news, you might think this is a political post. It’s not. Honest.
IRC, how to

I read, with some interest, Chris Parillo’s post (mostly a repost of rules for IRC from “Mikee”) and felt I needed to comment.

TrooperGate, the stonewall begins
by Kreme on Sep.18, 2008, under Computer, Macs
Not only is Sarah Palin refusing to answer questions about TrooperGate (or about anything at all, really), but now the GOP in AK is fully mobilized in covering up the TrooperGate scandal.

Will Shipley notes that

…we need a nicer term than “bastard” for a child born out-of-wedlock. I suggest “palin.”
I couldn’t agree more. Not sure it is actually *nicer* though.
Jared Earle replied: @wilshipley Not quite: A “Palin” is a child *conceived* out of wedlock but born within wedlock to the smell of gun oil and confetti.

Elisabeth Hassleback
by Kreme on Sep.11, 2008, under Computer
“Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn’t come with a list of topics that we weren’t allowed to touch. Nope, that’s because she has nothing to hide.” __ Elisabeth Hassleback.
No, that’s because Cindy McCain is, to quote her husband, a “stupid cunt”. Hey, those are his words, not mine.
In my own words, she is a vacuous bimbo trophy wife who is about as smart as a postage stamp. Seriously, this woman makes Dan Quayle look like a Rhodes Scholar. Remember her wonderfully stupid quote about how Sarah Palin had International experience because Alaska is “close to Russia”? Really. She said that.
I guess it makes sense that Elisabeth likes Cindy. After all, those vacuous bimbos need to stick together.
Sometimes Slashdot doesn’t suck

Slashbot >> Why is Gecko worth keeping if it is outdated and bloated?
Slashdot > Because it has a cooler name than the boring sounding WebKit. Besides, it’ll save you 15% on car insurance.
Slashdot Though it was so easy, even a caveman could code it.

Wife: Aren’t you going to talk to me?
Husb: I talked to you at dinner, do I need to talk to you again?
Why is Guitar Hero so much fun?
by Kreme on Sep.07, 2008, under Computer
So, I was lucky enough to be given a copy of Guitar Hero for the Wii this weekend. After putting in a good solid 6 hours and getting most of the way through the newbie skill level (got up to the Devil Went Down to Georgia challenge and got pwned) I finally figured out why the game works as well as it does.
The thing is, despite having no actual resemblance to playing a Guitar, the game makes you feel like you are playing a guitar, and that, ultimately, is enough. the game is excellent, and has some great songs on it. Be sure and check out the store for extra songs, there’s some excellnet hidden gems in there. I got 5 stars on the Kaiser Chiefs song. :)
If you’ve dimissed Guitar Hero for any reason, you might give it a try anyway, it’s a lot more fun than I expected. Now I have to get a second ‘guitar’ for it.
The Electoral College Map

Just a quick reminder, this is the only thing that matters for who is elected President. National percentage polls are meaningless unless broken down by states.
