Lieberman Sulks
Joseph Lieberman, after getting spanked in the Democratic Primary, is showing his true Republican roots by working to ensure that the Democrats can’t win his seat. Pulling a move from Benedict Arnold’s playbook he is vowing to run as an ‘Independent’, virtually assuring that the Republican will win the seat in November. At least when Nader did this, he really was an independent, not some turn-coat weasel-boy like Joe Lieberman. Talk about your sore losers. Lieberman, in effect, has decided that the position of Senator from Connecticut is his and if he can’t have it, by god, no one else is going to take it. Or maybe he just wants to be sure that the Senate seat is filled with some another Bush lapdog. What an asshole. If you live in Connecticut, be sure and contact Lieberman’s campaign office and let him know what you think, Democrat or not.
